The mission of the Weston Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee is to develop and promote safe bicycle and/or pedestrian facilities in the Town of Weston. The committee will work with the Chief of Police, Police Commission, the Director of Public Works and the Town Engineer to determine if proper bicycle and pedestrian design can be incrementally incorporated into the existing transportation system, and to determine if there are certain roads that can be closed off to motorists at certain times to be utilized exclusively for bicyclists and pedestrians. The committee will also work to educate motorists, cyclists and pedestrians on proper safety techniques and encourage residents to walk and bicycle.
